The tour begins with pickup in the morning and heads to the first stop of the day, Ta Prohm. Overgrown by jungle trees and vines, with many parts of the temple crumbling to the ground, Ta Prohm has largely been left as it was found making it one of the most picturesque and memorable temples in the complex.

Next, drive to the ancient city of Angkor Thom, entering through the ancient stone carved gate which features elephants and giant faces. From here continue onto Bayon Temple, which is located in the center of the city and known as the ‘Giant Face Temple’. Throughout the trip, listen to fascinating information and stories about the temples, their rich history, as well as their importance and symbolism to the local people. 

Enjoy a short break to eat some refreshing Cambodian snacks and fruits, then travel deeper into the Angkor Kingdom as you explore more and more of this incredible temple complex. Once you’ve worked up a bit of an appetite from your adventure, stop by a local restaurant for a tasty lunch. After lunch, follow your guide off-the-beaten-track until you reach a community-based tourism center where you can experience first-hand the everyday life of Cambodians.
