Angkor Ruins II

Morning: Departure at 08:00 AM

Visit ANGKOR THOM, the ancient Khmer capital. Inside Angkor Thom, we will explore many ancient temples such as Bayon, Baphoun, Phimeanakas, Preah Palilay, Elephant Terrance and the Terrace of the Leper King. We will also journey outside Angkor Thom to the temple known as Ta Prohm where the movie Lara Croft – Tomb Raider was filmed and where nature has been allowed to grow into the temple itself.

Afternoon: Departure at 14:00 PM

Spend the full afternoon exploring ANGKOR WAT, the Crowned Jewel of SE Asia.

Floating Village Tours

Experience the rural side of Cambodia with this half-day tour of Kompong Phluk Floating Village from Siem Reap! The tour begins with a pick up at your hotel, followed by a scenic drive through small yet beautiful villages as well as some rice paddies. Make a quick stop at Artisans D'Angkor for some souvenirs like silk accessories and stone carvings, then enjoy a serene boat ride through the calm waters of Tonle Sap Lake, where you will see big mangrove trees and herds of cattle feeding on grass. Go into the main area of Kompong Phluk, home to approximately 3000 fishing people, and explore this one-of-a-kind floating village with the help of your local tour guide. Learn how rural fishing villages work and what the people's daily routines are like, as well as discover how they've built the village to adapt to the changing seasons. Once you're done walking around, you'll make your way back to your hotel, free to enjoy the rest of the day any way you want.

Visit the walled city of Angkor Thom, the capital of the Khmer sovereigns during the 12th century. The famous Bayon with its many enigmatic faces lies in the middle of the ancient city. Nearby are the gigantic Baphuon and the pyramid of Phimeanakas partly surrounded by the jungle. Finish your morning at the Terrace of the Elephants and Terrace of the Leper King.

In the afternoon you will explore the magnificent Angkor Wat temple, the largest religious monument ever constructed.
